NANOGEN FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
BROWSE NANOGEN

Q. What is the Nanogen range and how does it work?

The Nanogen range of products encompass Nanothik, Nanoguard, Nanogaine and Nanofibres. Please read more by clicking on the links above or using the drop down navigation menu at the top of this page.

Q. Do and of the Nanogen products have any Systemic side effects? Do they pass into my blood stream?
No, when used as directed. None of the Nanogen range have any systemic side effects at all.

Q. What kind of results should I expect?
Please click here to see a list of what results you can expect for each product.

Q. Does Revivogen work for women?
Yes, all of the Nanogen range of products are suitable for women. For combating hair loss and helping with re-growth then Nanogaine is one of the best on the market. Nanofibres are extremely popular with our female customers due to the instant effect they produce, ideal for thinning hair.

Q. How is Nanogen used?
Each product in the Nanogen range is used differently. Please click here to read how to use each product.

Q. Can I use other hair care products or color my hair while using the Nanogen range?
Yes. You can use any other hair care products you want while using the products in the Nanogen range including hair colors and styling gels. You can even wear a hat. If you're going to use additional topical treatments such as Regaine (Minoxidil), you must apply them at least three hours apart to prevent any interference with Nanogaine especially.

Q. Do I need to use the Nanoguard/Nanogaine forever, like with Regaine and Propecia?
Once you have reached the desired results, you will need to continue to use Nanoguard/Nanogaine to maintain the revitalized hairs. This is because your body is continuously producing DHT. However, unlike many other products, you can decrease the frequency of application of Nanogaine over time. Once you have achieved the maximum results, you can start reducing your use to three or five times a week.

Q. What are the atrophied hair follicles?
If DHT related hair loss is not treated the miniaturised hair follicles basically die off. This is called atrophy and the atrophied hair follicles are replaced by scar tissue. On the scalp the area with atrophy looks bare and shiny and will not respond to any product or medication.

Q. Can Nanogaine/Nanoguard make the atrophied hair follicles grow again?
No. Unfortunately after the hair follicle has atrophied (died), it is gone forever. However, if you use Nanogaine/Nanoguard at any point during the hair miniaturization process, the hair follicle can be protected from DHT assault.
